Robert D. Macy, Ph.D.
Executive Director, Founder and Lead PTSM Trainer.
Dr. Macy has over 20 years’ experience doing clinical interventions and academic research in the field of behavioral health and crisis intervention. He has designed, developed, trained and credentialed specialty networks of individuals responding to traumatic incidents for the Boston Public Schools, Boston Housing Authority, Boston Housing Authority Police, Boston Police Department Community Service Officers, Department of Mental Health Metro Boston Area Office, and the Mayor’s Office, City of Boston. In addition, Dr. Macy provides technical assistance regarding school and community-based PTSM and the reduction of health risk behaviors to the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents, Massachusetts Association for Mental Health, Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services, and other school and community partnerships around the country.

Steven Gross, M.S.W.
Steven Gross, M.S.W. is the Program Director for the Center for Trauma Psychology, the Director of the Community Services Program at the Children’s Trauma Recovery Foundation in Boston, and the Founder and Co-Director of Project Joy. Steven has spent his entire career working with at risk youth in the most difficult of circumstances and is a pioneer in the field of therapeutic play and games specifically targeting the reduction of traumatic stress responses in youth. Steven has implemented psychosocial intervention projects with the Center for Trauma Psychology in the United States, Turkey, Gaza, Jordan, and Nepal, and is developing similar projects for South Africa and Sierra Leone.

Roger Solomon, Ph.D.
CISM/PTSM/EMDR Consultant and Lead PTSM Trainer. Dr. Solomon is a psychologist with expertise in critical incident trauma, PTSD and grief. He currently serves as the Director of Critical Incident Recovery Resources in Amherst, NY. He is on the Senior Faculty of the EMDR Institute and teaches Level 1 and 2 Workshops internationally. As a member of the faculty of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Dr. Solomon teaches workshops on CISM to emergency service personnel and mental health professionals. He is a consultant to numerous agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department Of Justice, and VIA Rail Canada.

Pamela Chamorro, MSW, LICSW
Pamela Chamorro, MSW, LICSW is currently the Director of Training at the Children’s Trauma Recovery Foundation in Boston, MA. In addition to serving as the Director of Training, Ms. Chamorro provides direct service to traumatized youth and their families providing clinical and community assessment and response post traumatic incident through the establishment and monitoring of the Boston Trauma Response Network, a network of approximately 2500 youth responders within Metro Boston. Ms. Chamorro has more than 10 years of direct practice experience working with traumatized youth and their families, particularly focusing on the Latino community within Boston. She has worked within inpatient & school programs, hospital settings, and throughout the Boston communities, working from a community perspective that allows for empowerment of the community in their grief and loss. Ms. Chamorro has experience using a variety of interventions in her practice including milieu, group, individual, and family treatment, as well as crisis intervention, with a focus on school response, suicide and non-traditional intervention strategies. The common thread in all of her work has been serving children in need.

Anthony Toombs, LICSW
Anthony Toombs Sr. is the Outreach Coordinator for the Children’s Trauma Recovery Foundation and a Community Counselor Advocate. He is committed to the development of networking positive community outlets for youth in Metro Boston and possesses a unique understanding of people and multicultural ethics. By encouraging empowerment through “street” relationships, Anthony is able to inspire and sustain individual successes in many at the inertia stage of development. He is also an experienced and talented musician who uses performing arts as a tool to peak interest of youth in efforts of fostering education importance.
